Crew members on Rockhampton to Sunshine Coast Bonza flight injured by turbulence

Crew members aboard a Bonza flight from Rockhampton to the Sunshine Coast have been injured after the plane hit “extreme turbulence” on Tuesday afternoon.

Bonza chief government Tim Jordan advised NCA NewsWire that a number of employees members had been hospitalised following the incident.

“Final evening, a flight from Rockhampton to the Sunshine Coast skilled surprising and extreme turbulence, main some Bonza crew members needing to be assessed at Sunshine Coast College Hospital,” he stated.

“All crew had been cleared to return residence final evening and no clients have introduced with accidents.” 

Neither the extent of the accidents nor what number of employees members had been hospitalised is understood.

“Our precedence is all the time the security of our employees and clients and we will probably be supporting our cabin crew legends as they want,” Mr Jordan stated.

A scheduled flight between the Sunshine Coast and Mildura has been cancelled whereas the plane is “being assessed”.

Prospects of the cancelled flight have reportedly been provided a full refund.
