Putin told Kim Jong Un that he wants stronger ties with North Korea

Kim could go to Moscow this month because the Kremlin wants to get weapons supplies for the war in Ukraine.

As rumors spread that he might meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in the next few days, Vladimir Putin wants Russia and North Korea to get closer.

Putin wrote to Kim on Friday, as AFP and North Korean media reported, “I am convinced that thanks to our joint efforts we will continue to strengthen… bilateral ties on all fronts.”

North Korea was celebrating the 75th anniversary of its founding with a parade in Pyongyang. Russian and Chinese representatives were allegedly there.

This week, a U.S. source said that Kim might go to Russia by the end of September to meet with Putin. This is because Russia is looking for military equipment for its invasion of Ukraine. The boss of North Korea might take a luxury armored train for 20 hours.

U.S. spying shows that Russia and North Korea are talking about arms sales. Russian officials have been visiting North Korea several times, and Putin has written letters to Kim.
