Following his surrender on allegations of conspiring to change the results of the 2020 election in Georgia, Donald Trump has written on X, which was formerly known as Twitter.
Following the incident that took place in the Capitol in January 2021, his account was “permanently” suspended; nevertheless, it was reopened after Elon Musk purchased Twitter the previous year.
Nevertheless, prior to this point, the former president had not published any anything on his account.
The first thing that Donald Trump shared on social media was a mugshot of himself with the caption “Never Surrender” and a link to his campaign website.
Later, Mr. Musk published it on his Twitter account with the caption “Next-Level.”
Twitter issued the following statement in the wake of the riot that took place on January 6, 2021 in Washington, District of Columbia: “We have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further inciting of violence.”
Since that time, Mr. Trump has been posting on Truth Social, his very own social media network that is comparable to Twitter. Despite this, it does not have much of a following.
Prior to his suspension, Mr. Trump’s primary method for communicating with his supporters was through the social media network Twitter.
After he was inaugurated as president, he cited it as a primary basis for his victorious campaign for the office of the presidency.
In 2017, he was quoted as saying, “Twitter is a good thing for me, since it allows me to get the word out… If I did not have a trustworthy method of disseminating information, it is possible that I would not be here in front of you right now in the role of president.
Some political observers feel that Mr. Trump’s absence from Twitter has been beneficial to him politically since it has allowed him to reorganize in private and out of the public spotlight.
Others, however, think that he should be posting on a social media channel that has a significantly larger audience than Truth Social, and they believe that X could be that platform.
As a result of Mr. Musk’s takeover of the business, many people speculated that Mr. Trump might return to the platform more quickly.
He had fought against doing so for several months. It is not entirely apparent whether he has permanently relocated to X or whether this was just a one-time visit.
Despite this, Mr. Musk will be participating in the festivities. The former president is a significant traffic driver and has the potential to draw users to a website that has struggled to generate enough advertising revenue to meet its expenditures. This would be beneficial to the website.
More than 36 million people viewed the original post that Donald Trump made on Facebook in under three hours, and it received 530,000 likes.
