The Utah Royals have traded for midfielder Mikayla Cluff, making the previous BYU standout the Nationwide Ladies’s Soccer League enlargement crew’s first rostered participant.
The Royals acquired Cluff and the No. 26 decide within the 2024 NWSL draft from the Orlando Satisfaction in alternate for $90,000 US in allocation cash and enlargement safety.
Cluff, a local of Kaysville, Utah, was the No. 14 decide within the 2021 NWSL draft. In two seasons with Orlando, she has 4 objectives and an help in 51 appearances.

“Whereas I’ve loved my time in Orlando during the last two seasons, I am extraordinarily excited to return to play in my hometown and convey again this Membership for the state and for the followers,” Cluff stated in an announcement Wednesday.
The Royals start play in 2024, together with Bay FC, an enlargement crew within the San Francisco Bay Space, that can deliver the ladies’s skilled league to 14 groups.
