Gushue, Einarson lock up semifinal berths at Pan Continental Curling Championships

Canadian skips Brad Gushue and Kerri Einarson clinched playoff berths on the Pan Continental Curling Championships on Wednesday in Kelowna, B.C.

Gushue, of St. John’s, skipped Canada to an 8-1 win over Taiwan’s Randy Shen within the males’s A division spherical robin to ensure a spot in Friday morning’s semifinal on the Kelowna Curling Membership.

His crew has a 4-1 report and wraps up round-robin play with conferences Wednesday night time towards Australia’s Jay Service provider and Thursday afternoon towards Guyana’s Rayad Husain.

Einarson’s crew will advance to Thursday night time’s girls’s A division semifinal regardless of dropping 9-8 to South Korea’s Eunji Gim on Wednesday.

Whereas Canada misplaced, its 3-3 report was sufficient to qualify after New Zealand’s Jessica Smith (2-4) and Mexico’s Adriana Camarena (1-5) additionally misplaced on Wednesday afternoon.
