Kyle Sandilands reveals trainwreck aftermath of Will Ferrell interview

Kyle Sandilands has revealed one of many worst superstar encounters from his decades-long profession rubbing shoulders with A-list stars.

Talking on KIIS Community’s Will & Woody Tuesday, the Sydney radio king recalled the heated aftermath of an on-air interview he and co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson performed with US actor Will Ferrell in 2013.

Throughout their chat with the Elf actor, Henderson was by chance saying Ferrell’s final title ‘feral’ – when it’s purported to be pronounced ‘fur-ell’.

Whereas Ferrell had no points with the harmless blunder, with Sandilands saying he was a “nice” interviewee, the Anchorman star’s publicist cornered Henderson on the finish of the phase and referred to as her “silly”.

“The publicist simply ripped into Jackie like, I imply extraordinarily yelling and carrying on,” Sandilands remembered.

“Jackie burst into tears as a result of he was very confrontational. And I walked out and I heard the aftermath and noticed Jackie and I simply, effectively, I wouldn’t say attacked, however I verbally threatened him.

“I mentioned, ‘You d**okay head publicist, get the f**okay out of right here.’”

Sandilands conceded he “in all probability went a little bit overboard”, continuing to “chase them [Ferrell’s team] all out.”

“I mentioned, ‘What are you ready for? I’ll flog you all.’

“Apparently he was one of many largest publicists on the earth, they usually banned us from many celebrities for about 10 years.”

Sandilands is definitely no stranger to awkward celeb interviews.

In 2021, he revealed former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan was an “a**gap”, including that he “hated” him.

“We have been on the purple carpet, and Kyle’s first query to Pierce was, ‘Why do you reckon there’s been no Australians doing James Bond?’” Henderson mentioned on-air on the time.

Brosnan was fast to level out to Kyle that his query was mistaken, with Australian actor George Lazenby taking part in the British agent in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service in 1969.

“That’s proper. The s**t Bond actor, what was his title, Remington Metal?” Sandilands joked.

“What an a**gap that man was.

Years in the past, he pressed famend artist and John Lennon’s widow, Yoko Ono, on what her intercourse life was like with the previous Beatles vocalist.
